Wife of Cross River Governor, Dr. Linda Ayade has dismissed media reports suggesting that she missed the Southern Governors Wives Forum (SGWF) inaugural meeting for political reasons.
crossrivereyes.com, had on Friday reported that the absence of Dr. Linda Ayade at the gathering of First Ladies of the Southern part of Nigeria in Owerri had a political undertone.
The first Lady of Cross River State, through her media aide, Mr. Fred Abua, in a statement on Saturday vehemently rejected the report stating that, “Her Excellency was out of the country and not aware of the meeting.”
“If we had received a letter, we could have transmitted same but none was received,” the statement reads in part.
“I, personally learnt of the said meeting from a media aide of another Governor’s wife.”
Describing the report by crossrivereyes.com which inferred that Dr. Linda Ayade boycotted the meeting for political reasons as unfounded, baseless and misleading.
