The Chairman of Cross River State Traditional Rulers Council,His Royal Majesty Etiyin Etim Okon Edet has reinstated that the traditional fathers and custodian of the people customs are totally in support of Governor Ayade’s government in the face of the challenging times.
HRM Etiyin Etim Okon Edet, stated in Calabar, emphasying that “it is all about Cross River and the people of the state needs to stand behind the governor, to rebuild the state after the havoc that was visited on Calabar by hoodlums.”
HRM Okon Edet said that the youths needs to channel their energy to productive means because the present administration has invested in building industries to provide employment for the people of the state.
To this end, he maintained that this was no time for division among our people, especially the traditional fathers because the state needs to move forward and rebuild the infrastructure that have been destroyed.
The royal father said that in as much as the demands of the youths were genuine, it is beyond reasons to have wrecked such destruction on Calabar and it’s environ.
“If your father make you angry would you destroy the house he built for your own inheritance, even if you are not living together.” He said
