Jeddy Agba Pledges To Work With Ayade, Shelves 2015 Guber Ambition
Mr. Goddy Jedy Agba, one of the leading governorship aspirants in Cross River State, has shelved his governorship ambition and pledged his support for the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, Senator Ben Ayade and the party.
Political pundits had expected Agba to pursue his governorship ambition on another platform following his dissatisfaction with the congresses and governorship primary conducted by his party, the PDP.
However, Agba, a multi-billionaire, who retired a few months back from state funded NNPC, in a statement on Tuesday morning, said his decision to abandon his governorship quest and remain in the PDP followed “…the appeal by our National Leader, Presidential Candidate and President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan against defection to other Parties on account of dissatisfaction with the conduct of the Party Primaries; and, more recently, following the grave concerns and medical advice of my doctors…”
