Cross River Govt Says No Curfew in Calabar

Cross River State Government says there is no curfew in Calabar or any other part of the state as being circulated in the social media.

A statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Ben Ayade, Christian Ita said the rumour of curfew in Calabar was the handiwork of mischief makers who do not mean well for the state.

Ita therefore, urged members of the public to disregard the rumour and go about their lawful businesses.
He said there was no security challenge in Calabar that would warrant imposition of curfew.

He assured that security agencies were on top of security situation as 36 cultists who recently breached the peace in calabar were already in Police net.
