Ayade’s Emergence As Governor Of The Year, A Recognition For His Drive And Diligent Service –Sen. Ita Giwa
Prof Ben Ayade emergence as governor of the year by three leading newspapers in Nigeria has been attributed to his commitment to translate his vision into work in the state by bettering the lives of Cross Riverians.
In the same vein, governor Ayade was praised for his drive for a better Cross river while his recent award as governor of the year is described as recognition for his drive and diligent service to good governance.
It would be recalled that three of the country’s major media organizations, vanguard, hallmark and authority newspapers picked Ayade as governor of the year.
Commending Governor Ayade on his award, Senator Florence Ita Giwa said’ I am not surprised at all. This is obviously recognition of the awesome revolution going on in Cross River under Ayade.
‘It is clearly a demonstration of the recognition of the strong passion, Ayade has brought to governance in the state and his determination to make cross river the leading state in Nigeria.’ She added
An excited Senator Ita Giwa, observed that the Governor’s commitment to excellence was amply radiated in the very successful recently held Calabar carnival, where her band won as the number one band.
In her word: ‘ honestly, it is very clear today, that Cross River state is the number one state in the country and this can be majorly attributed to the energy, Ayade has brought to governance in the state. Everything is working in the state.’
‘Cross River state is the only state that regularly and promptly pays salaries today in Nigeria. It is the only state today in the country in this period of recession where jobs are been created for the people. Today, we have the largest garment factory in the world where over 3000 women and poor widows have been gainfully employed. I can go on to announce the many success story of the governor Ayade led administration in the state ‘
To this end, she called on all cross Riverians to support the governor so that he can do more for the people in 2017, insisting that that the only way the people of the state can appreciate Ayade is to show him genuine love and more support.
The senator stated that no meaningful development can be put in place if a conducive atmosphere is not encouraged. She maintained that the support is very crucial for governor Ayade who had promised that 2017 cross river will hub of massive industrial revolution.
According to her we must help the governor to achieve his promise to further develop our state this year because that would mean more jobs and opportunities for our people.
