Ayade condoles with Keyamo over father’s death
Cross River State Governor, Professor Ben Ayade has condoled with Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo( SAN) on the transition of his father, Pa Mathias Keyamo.
In a statement in Calabar, Governor Ayade described Pa Keyamo’s passing as shocking and saddening. “As an elder statesman, one with patriotic fervour at that, our country still needs papa’s wits, wisdom and counsel. It is, therefore, shocking and saddening that he has left us at this stage”, Ayade said in the statement.
Continuing, the Governor rued: “His departure is a monumental loss not only to the entire Kayemo family but to all those who benefited from his outstanding virtues.
“As a devout Christian, he was forthright, he was a community leader who spread love and peace wherever he went.”
AyadeI therefore, urged Keyamo to take solace in the fact that his father lived a salutary and fulfiled life.
“On behalf of the government and people of Cross River state, I condole with you and the Keyamo family over this irreparable loss and pray that God’s abiding love gives you the strength and comfort during this time of deep sorrow.
“While I fervently pray for the peaceful repose of Papa’s kind soul, be rest assured that I have you and your family in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult period”
