Akpabuyo Lights Up As Ayade/Esu Team, Campaign Train Storms Town
In continuation of the Cross River State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, campaign rally ahead of the general elections, a huge crowd of supporters besieged the rally venue, Akpabuyo, to receive the campaign train led by the Chairman of the Campaign Council, Governor Liyel Imoke, the party governorship standard bearer, Senator Ben Ayade, as well as other candidates of the party.
Typical of similar rallies that had taken place in other local government, the Akpabuyo campaign drew huge crowd of party faithful numbering over ten thousand who thronged Ikot Nakanda venue as early as 10.am. In their vociferous voices, they chanted “PDP Power to the People”, “President Goodluck Jonathan all the way”, “No vacancy in Aso Rock Villa”, “Ayade for continuity”, “Ayade you don win”, among other slogans in show of support for the presidential and Cross River State governorship candidates respectively
Prof Ben Ayade, the PDP standard bearer who was received with so much enthusiasm by the people promised to touch as many lives as possible when elected.
He warned the people on the implication of dividing votes, saying the only way he could perform effectively was to have one ruling family from top to bottom
